The purpose of the organized unit of the United Methodist Women is “to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ’ to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.” There is a place for every women of every age in the UMW at First United Methodist Church. We welcome your participation.
The UMW provides many opportunities: small groups which meet as circles, general meetings with topics on social action and education, a reading program and fund-raising for mission.
Circles meet to study, worship, fellowship, sew and do book studies. Most circles meet once a month at a specific time. For more information about the circles please call Mitsy Mentzer, 263-7496.
